- 02
Apply to Kisii University
Self-sponsored applications are online. Contact Admissions to confirm the route and documents for your international application.
- 03
Confirm your qualification
Ask the University whether your foreign qualification needs CUE recognition or equation. Provide certified copies and official English translations where required.
- 04
Arrange your student pass
After admission, follow the current Immigration checklist. The University completes the institution sections of the pass application.
Prepare for your University application
- Academic certificates and transcripts for the programme you choose.
- Certified copies in the format Kisii University requests.
- Official English translations for documents issued in another language, where required.
- A valid passport and contact details for application follow-up.
Entry grades vary by programme. Kisii University will advise if a foreign qualification needs recognition or equation by CUE; it is subject to CUE recognition criteria and does not replace meeting the programme entry criteria.

Student pass documents
Kenya Immigration currently lists a valid passport, academic records, a sponsor commitment and passport details, and proof of funds for self-sponsored students. The University must complete Form 30 and provide a course and duration letter. Other documents can apply, so use the live Immigration checklist before applying.
Documents in another language need an accepted English translation. Applicants under 18 also need parent or guardian documents listed by Immigration.
